One of the best cake shops in the city of Edinburgh. I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday las year in 2022. Also I have ordered a cake today for my daughter's 3rd birthday. The quality, quantity and everything is just awesome and taste is mouthwatering. This should be the first go to shop for ordering birthday and other cakes. Highly recommended...

I’ve lived in Leith for a while now and this shop has always been one of my favourites. It’s a small shop that has friendly shops and when you look through the counter you want everything. I do love their cake that have fresh cream and fruit. I must have had it for more than 10 times atleast but I keep going back to it because it’s so yummy. I also like their arancini . I remember there being an occasion where I wanted to get just one thing but came back getting 5 or 6 items just because they looked tempting. All of the items I’ve tried here are amazing . The staff as super helpful and super patient even if you keep asking them what a certain items are. For the cakes, you can always call them up or use Facebook to send them a message. Definitely going back there again whenever I get a chance.

The nicest bakery I have ever been too. Everything is so reasonably priced, if not a little cheap for the amazing quality. I have to force myself to not come here everyday. Sunday is my least favourite day of the week simply because this place is not open. This is it guys. The best bakery in Edinburgh, probably even in Scotland. My personal favourite is the chocolate beignet or strawberry tart.

I am not a desert person but this made me change my mind. They have a wide selection of delicious cakes, pastries, baked goods etc. We got the Chantilly fresh cream Gateaux slice which was an Italian vanilla sponge filled with Chantilly fresh cream and strawberry jam. It was light , moist with a perfectly balanced sweetness to it. And it costs us around £2.35 which wasn’t too bad. I can highly recommend this! Next time will try their Black Forest cake ✨

Staff being arrogant and ignore you. We came into the store to collect a cake we ordered online, standing at the shop floor for 5 minutes with nobody serving us. A lady would stand aside to see how they decorated a cake (not my cake, and she noticed me when I came in) rather than serving us. After we said hello to the staff for twice, finally someone came to ask what we need. By the way, she was chatting with another statf. Saw us came into the shop but just choose to ignore. After our cake was took out of the fridge, it was left there for 5 minutes and the cream was melting. The customer came after us were all served and they just ignored us again. After we complained about this, they pretended to apologize but actually they are finding excuses for themselves. I heard three different versions of why the cake was left there and nobody was aware of what’s going on. And they manager tried to end the conversation by saying they are busy which means we are interrupting their business. Now you know the shop is busy and you need to serve customers? Then when we were left there, why you don’t know that? If you really put that much effort in this shop as you’ve said, then the customer service won’t be this bad. The staff we complained about were actually laughing at us in the kitchen when we were trying to make the complain. I left the shop without saying more is only because I wanted to end the conversation quick cause the staff and manager actually refused to communicate, when you pointed out your view politely, they will find thousands of excuses for that. We did not request a high standard service, our only request is to be aware of what’s going on with our order and a simple apology or an explanation of why the cake is still being decorated and left there for 5 minutes. And to the staff who were trying to make excuses for another staff by saying “she’s just a young girl”. Me as a very young girl used to work as a sale associate part time, when this was happening I would always came to customers explain to them and thank s for their patience and they will always understand and thank us for what we did. I have friends who are young girls but they are still doing their very very best in their area. I don’t know what’s going on in here, probably the very basic standard of a sales is too hard for a young girl. Staffs are paid for this role and this is their responsibility, if you don’t want to do it, just quit is easier than making different excuses. I know young girls’ challenges as we might be rookies and we can make mistakes and feel stressful. But I’m not sure it is proper or not for a young girl who is facing challenges from workplace who just wanted to order a cake to celebrate her graduation and cheer herself up being treated like this and ruined her day.
